Welcome to St. John's community. We are honored to serve Christ, and to open our doors to all. Please feel free to join us for worship. St. John's can trace its history to the founding of Jamestown. The parish is over 350 years old, and the church building itself has stood for 2 and a half centuries. St. John's saw the American Revolution and served as a camp ground for troops during the Civil War. Through it all, St. John's has been a place of worship and a home for those seeking communion with Christ. St. John's has a rich and abiding history. Today, it is as it was... a place to find and be found by Christ.

Reflection and sermon from the Epiphany 2013

Blessings on the Feast of the Epiphany. It was a good day in Chuckatuck and we wrapped up our Christmas Celebration as we removed the greens and poinsettias from the church. While a little sad to be moving on it was good to signal the change of seasons and use the Epiphany as a springboard to look at the mystery of Christ among us. Today was also the beginning of a new year and a look at how we have been called to explore our evolving relationship with God as the means to continue our growth by sharing our life with God in Christ with ourselves and with our community. Today's sermon, focused on the life of our witness as we grow to know more about God around us, is attached. I invite your comments,
Les+
