Welcome to St. John's community. We are honored to serve Christ, and to open our doors to all. Please feel free to join us for worship. St. John's can trace its history to the founding of Jamestown. The parish is over 350 years old, and the church building itself has stood for 2 and a half centuries. St. John's saw the American Revolution and served as a camp ground for troops during the Civil War. Through it all, St. John's has been a place of worship and a home for those seeking communion with Christ. St. John's has a rich and abiding history. Today, it is as it was... a place to find and be found by Christ.

Reflection and sermon for Sunday Feb. 3

Greetings on a wonderful February day. A little change this morning after snow last week and 70+ degree weather mid-week. There was a spirited discussion in our reflection on Jeremiah this morning - looking at how even the most human person can be one of the most fervent voices for God's people. We had some young ones who have been away for a couple weeks to bring energy back to the nursery.

We began to wind down on our Epiphany journey and continued our reflection on our call to be God's witness in the world. I invite you to think about our mission as believers in God and members of a faith community. I invite your comments of today's sermon that is attached.
