757 255-4168 stjohns1755@verizon.net Worship Service: Sundays at 10:30am
Welcome to St. John's community. We are honored to serve Christ, and to open our doors to all. Please feel free to join us for worship. St. John's can trace its history to the founding of Jamestown. The parish is over 350 years old, and the church building itself has stood for 2 and a half centuries. St. John's saw the American Revolution and served as a camp ground for troops during the Civil War. Through it all, St. John's has been a place of worship and a home for those seeking communion with Christ. St. John's has a rich and abiding history. Today, it is as it was... a place to find and be found by Christ.

Reflection and comment for Sunday Feb. 10, 2013

Greetings at the end of Epiphany 2013. We hope you have had an enlightening journey from Christmas until the brink of Lent. It was a good day at church today and we had one of our best attended education forums in quite a while. We took a detailed look at our lesson from Exodus and how Moses' face shone for the Israelites. We looked at how God shines through us and the effect of our veils on our witness for God.

Today's service went well too. We finished up our reflection on our evolving ministry and how we are required to respond to our meeting with God in Christ. We looked at the glow that is within following our meeting with God and how we should step forward with boldness and hope to share God's relationship with us. I invite you to listen to the sermon and give your reflection to what has been said. I invite your comments.
