Welcome to St. John's community. We are honored to serve Christ, and to open our doors to all. Please feel free to join us for worship. St. John's can trace its history to the founding of Jamestown. The parish is over 350 years old, and the church building itself has stood for 2 and a half centuries. St. John's saw the American Revolution and served as a camp ground for troops during the Civil War. Through it all, St. John's has been a place of worship and a home for those seeking communion with Christ. St. John's has a rich and abiding history. Today, it is as it was... a place to find and be found by Christ.

Reflection and Sermon for Sunday Feb. 24

Greetings from Chuckatuck on this, the 2nd Sunday in Lent. This past week was filled with activity; planning for Chuckatuck Founders' day in the fall and our first Wednesday night Soup Supper and study. This past week we did some work called Asset Mapping. We amassed a good list of our Parish's assets as we began our Lenten journey reflecting on our mission at St. John's.

Today we took a look at Abram's interaction with God when Abram wondered if he would have a true heir and if his heir would have land to inherit. In worship today we took time to reflect on the message of fear in our lessons and how we as Christians respond to the fear using the images of Paul and Jesus as models.
