The end of August is coming - the summer has flown by and we
are getting ready for the coming program year. We looked at the image of Israel
as an unproductive vineyard in our formation class and pondered how the
destruction of Israel might be a source of hope. In worship, where we had
monthly healing services we especially remembered Bob and Bette. Likewise, we
took a look at the foundation of the faithful that allows us to "go into
the world and preach the gospel" - the foundation of the
"simple" folks in our past. We wonder how God is calling both the
notable and the common to be gatherers into the fold and the ones that keep
