Welcome to St. John's community. We are honored to serve Christ, and to open our doors to all. Please feel free to join us for worship. St. John's can trace its history to the founding of Jamestown. The parish is over 350 years old, and the church building itself has stood for 2 and a half centuries. St. John's saw the American Revolution and served as a camp ground for troops during the Civil War. Through it all, St. John's has been a place of worship and a home for those seeking communion with Christ. St. John's has a rich and abiding history. Today, it is as it was... a place to find and be found by Christ.

A Celebration of a New Ministry - April 12, 2011

It was a great day on Tuesday, we had about 75 people at St. John's; gathered from much of the past 7 years of discernment and formation. I was blessed to have many from the St. John's family present to welcome me officially as their Rector and to share in their ministries with me. We also had the Rev. Canon Michael Spear-Jones from the Bishop's Office to install me as Rector. One of the biggest blessings was the sermon delivered by my mentor from Reston, Rev. Jim Papile. Many thanks to all who helped make tonight’s celebration a huge success. Thank you all and for those who weren’t there enjoy the sermon posted below.
