Welcome to St. John's community. We are honored to serve Christ, and to open our doors to all. Please feel free to join us for worship. St. John's can trace its history to the founding of Jamestown. The parish is over 350 years old, and the church building itself has stood for 2 and a half centuries. St. John's saw the American Revolution and served as a camp ground for troops during the Civil War. Through it all, St. John's has been a place of worship and a home for those seeking communion with Christ. St. John's has a rich and abiding history. Today, it is as it was... a place to find and be found by Christ.

Reflection and sermon for April 21, 2013

Greetings from Chuckatuck on a a blustery Sunday after Tax Day. This week has been tumultuous around the nation not only with taxes being due but with the bombing in Boston. We took time this week to remember the victims and all who have been affected by the events of that day.

Today we continued looking at the spread of the Christian Faith as Peter healed Aeneas and Tabitha in Lydda and Joppa. We looked at how our ministry helps restore hope to a world in need of hope through relationship and connection between our past and our future.

We had a joy-filled worship today and looked at our hope even in the ups and downs of life. We share the strength of life that is supported in our community that knows the truth - that God will be with us and will support us in the past, in our present, and in the future.

I invite your comments,
Les+
